Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to identify the level of the health mental of the students of the University of Oran, and the impact of each of the variables of sex and residence on the mental health.

The researchers used the descriptive method, the sample consisted of 170 students from the University of Oran, were selected through a stratified random sample, and they implemented mental health test after the confirmation of his validity and reliability.

After statistical treatment using SPSS software, version 20 study revealed the following results: - There is statistically significant relationship between mental disorders measured and mental health ranging between 0.38 and 0.70.

- The study sample of university students enjoy as much as the average of the mental health; andMale students have more psychological health compared to female students.

- There is no significant difference between students living in university residence and residents with their families in mental health.
