Observance of the rights of victims is on important and decisive factor for criminal justice.

therefore, this study aims to determine the rights of crime victims in international law and the procedures to a chief these rights without prejudice to the rights of the defendant.

the study revealed a significant change in the position of international law concerning the rights of victims in the last three decades.

therefore victims were given a greater role in participating in criminal proceedings.

they were also allowed to claim redress, especially for compensation before international tribunals, several unique measures for their protection and safety were provided.
