Abstract EN

The study aims to reveal the extent of the phenomenon of psychological alienation in the university students exactly the students of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Laghouat, and the impact of gender variable, family status, residence and university academic level.

The importance of this study is to Jeddah research in terms of dealing with an important group in society, And the possibility of benefiting from the results of the study in some aspects that should be taken into account when exposed to the problems of university youth ,The study sample consisted of 99 students from Laghouat University, Faculty of Social Sciences from different age levels randomly selected.

In this study, a theoretical framework was introduced to deal with psychological alienation in terms of definition and presentation of a range of previous Arab and foreign studies.

In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a measure of the psychological alienation of Muhammad Abbas Yousef (2004), which consists of three dimensions, Statistically, the results revealed the following: The results showed that most of the students in the sample suffer from clear and high mental estrangement, and also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the sense of psychological alienation among the students of the Faculty of Social Sciences due to gender, family status and university academic level.

, And the existence of differences of statistical significance for the sense of alienation of psychological students of the Faculty of Social Sciences attributed to the variable residence.
