This study aims to analyze the contribution of public spending to achieve economic diversification in Oil-exporting countries, also the analyzing of Algerian economic situation by using the Herfindahl-Hirschman-Index, modern econometric methods, Joint integration tests, and testing the validity of the relationship between public spending and economic diversification during the period (2000-2015).
The results showed the weak contribution of public spending programs to achieve economic diversification for Oil-exporting countries, and the estimated relationship between Algerian public spending and economic diversification is spurious regression.
