Abstract EN

This study aims to measure the impact of the financial system (private banks) on economic growth in Algeria for the period from 2002 to 2013, with the start of any adoption of Algeria to the principles of banking governance, through the partial amendment cash and loan law in 2003.

This study is based on a model Leving - King (1993) to highlight the relationship between per capita variable of GDP PIB / tête variables bank (money supply to GDP, M2 / PIB, quasi-money to GDP QM / PIB and loans for properties the GDP CP / PIB) and a variable control government spending G.

The study found that despite the adoption of the principles of corporate governance in the banking Algerian banks remain ineffective contribution to the national economy.
