Abstract EN

This study aims at trying an assessment of the reality of the mental health in two different social and economic environments : Arabic and occidental environments on the basis of social and psychological environment factors that have been developed in dls model of karasek and der model of seigrist.

for this purpose, two Arabic and two occidental studies have been used.

an analysis has been carried out on the basis of common factors which affect the mental health of workers.

the main result of this study was: the necessity of reinforcing the quality of mental health among workers through the focus on the strategy of developing social and psychological environment backing up well-being rather than the focus on reducing distress and psychological ill-being.
