Abstract EN

This study aimed to detect the level of morale in the elderly in some areas from Msila and Laghouat, in addition to examine of the impact of social variables of age, sex, marital status, health status, education, religion in the morale of the elderly.

We applied the Philadelphia measure of morale on a sample composed of 49 elderly (male and female) from the regions of Msila and Laghouat.

The results of the study were as follows: - The level of morale in the elderly in Msila and Laghouat is high.

- As for the impact of social changes in the level of morale, there are no statistically significant differences in morale among the elderly due to the following variables (sex, age, marital status, work, religion).

- There are significant differences in the level of morale in the elderly due to the following variables (education, health).
