Abstract EN

Since the 1980s Algerian government begun to pursue the privatization of public institutions to adopt an economy based on open market offers and gradual abandonment of the socialist model where they restored to profound changes in the method of directing the oriented economy, in this area ,Algeria has signed several agreement ,including the expended facility agreement ,structural adjustment program …..,but remained difficult materialized as a result of the economy and rentier thinking prevalent in Algerian society .

To realize this trend , two bodies were established , the first was the National Council of State Contribution ,which was entrusted with the task of supervising privatization.

The second is the National Privatization Council, whose task is to evaluate the public economy institution .The privatization has proceeded at a slow pace, with several obstacles among them , the absence of the role of the financial market economy, the prevailing rent economy ,domestic pressures and the failure of banks to cope with the process of privatization .

This article briefly presents the stages that the public institutions has undergone, the most important of which is the stage of privatization.
