Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to probe the correlation between self-efficacy and social support among financial rights prison inmates.

Adopting the descriptive correlation method, a random sample of (117) prison inmates in Al Qasim Region was chosen, and self-efficacy scale ( 2001), and social support scale ( 2000) were applied.

Findings have shown a correlation between levels of self-efficacy and social support among research sample.

According to findings levels of self-efficacy ranged between average and high, whereas levels of social support were high.

No statistically significant differences according to age, education and employment status were found among the sample in the two areas of self-efficacy and social support.

Recommendations of the research included: raising financial rights' prison inmates awareness about the significance of self-efficacy and social support in coping with imprisonment.
