Abstract EN

The study is trying to identify the effects of the openness to fdi in Algeria on the industrial sector during the period 1989-2015, in terms of the provision of the necessary funding for the establishment of productive projects, transfer of technology, creation of employment and improvement of skills and management experience.

the study reached a number of conclusions which serve mostly in the opening of Algeria on foreign direct investments are concentrated in the oil sector which did not have a significant impact on the industrial sector, as a result of variety of reasons covered in the research paper.

the desired diversification to achieve the integration between the industrial sector and the rest of the other sectors didn‟t happen, investment did not also convey the technology to develop the sector and if that happened, it was the foreign investor who monopolizes such technology.

in addition, it did not create employment positions to reduce the rate of unemployment comparing to what national public and private projects did.
