Abstract EN

Algeria is considered as one of the coastal mediterranean countries which always exposed to risk of contamination.

so, it is participated to many international conventions working in marine environmental protection especially those which cared to biodiversity protection and worked on the establishment of marine protected areas in the mediterranean.

it has sought to apply those conventions at the national level through the arsenal of national legislation brought about ; it has created so many of the marine protected areas that havea national and internationalimportance.
