The crime of embezzlement is spread throughout the world, which in turn gave it a great deal of attention due to the danger it poses to both the state and individuals.

In view of the gravity of the crime of misappropriation of public funds, Algerian legislator tried to exert all his efforts to reduce this crime and all crimes of corruption in view of the danger it poses on the economic and financial side, as evidenced by the establishment of a national body to prevent and combat corruption and the Central Court for the Suppression of Corruption.
