This study aimed to shed light on th most important necessities due to achieve banking merger and acquisition operations between islamic banks .Factors such as globalisation ,liberalisation and information technology developements have contributed to the need for a more competitive and robust financial systems, so the challenger for the islamic bankink industry is to consolidate itself to be able to better compete with global players in world economic environment ,through achieving scale,efficiency and cost effic-tiveness in addition to rapidely bulding its capacities to standardize regulation and supervision ,and accounting practices ,while strangthening the governance of the industry.
