Abstract EN

In its efforts to narrow the gap between research and practice, this study examines the extent to which research findings had been used by social work practitioners.

Moreover, the study aims to explore factors affecting the use of research and the implementation of its findings.

Three hundred and fifteen social work practitioners were randomly selected and surveyed.

A Logistic Regression Model was used for data analysis.

Results reveals that Logistic Regression was able to predict up to (91.1%) of whether or not a practitioner is going to use research findings in his or her daily practices.

Furthermore, results show that among practitioner, only about (18.7%) had admitted using research findings.

Independent variable and factors in the Logistic Regression Model was able to explain up to (69%) of variation in the dependent variable.

Unlike environmental work factor, academic and training factors were found to have a positive impact on the use of research findings, however, the training factor was having much larger effect than the academic factor.
