Abstract EN

This research deals with the concept of vision in the Holy Quran, and traces its role in the formation of the story narration through the identification of areas of narrative that are included in the world of visions in Chapter (Surah) "Yusuf', peace be upon him, which plays a great role in the formation of the general discourse of the story.

Within the framework of this miraculous structure, the series of visions controls the course of events and directs them, so one can say that the act of vision is the main instigator of the narration.

It is a vital and conclusive act in the story structure and the establishment of its artistic characteristics.

Accordingly, the act of the vision in Chapter Yusuf shall be dealt with through investigation and study because of its being an artistic phenomenon of a connotative outcome that responds to lexicographic references, at both actual and dream levels in the story.

Hence, these outputs are to be linked to the connotations of the dream vision in the story narration through the presentation of a suggested applicable model, which is a novel by the writer (Abdu Khal) entitled (Cities That Eat Grass).
