Abstract EN

The study aimed at finding out the reality of employing computers devices in kindergartens in Salfit governorate in Palestine by reviewing the opinions of female teachers and educators, and identifying the obstacles and difficulties of computer use in kindergartens.

The researcher used the descriptive approach in his research study.

The study population consisted of 174 school principals and preschool teachers working at 56 kindergartens in Salfit Governorate.

The sample of the study comprised 50% of the study population which was selected randomly.

The statistical program (SPSS) was used in analyzing the data and finding out the results.

The results of the study in the first field (Computer use in Kindergarten) showed that the responses of the school principals and preschool teachers indicate that there is a positive orientation towards using the computer as a device in teaching and learning at kindergartens.

The results of the study in the second field (obstacles facing the use of computers in kindergarten) showed the existence of multiple obstacles that prevent the use of computers in teaching and learning process in kindergartens.

One of the main obstacles is the lack of computers in Kindergarten.

In the third field (Formation of kindergarten principals and teachers), results showed that the majority of school principals and preschool teachers have not received any kind of training.

The findings of the study indicates that female teachers are not qualified to use computers in teaching and learning in kindergartens in Palestine.

One of the most important recommendations of the study is expanding the use of computer and its programs for teaching and learning in kindergartens, and; training school principals and preschool teachers in basic computer skills as a basis for the problems they face.
