The current study aimed to identify the characteristics of Umm Al Qura University's professors out of the students' perspective.

The problem of the study was formulated in the main question: What are the characteristics of the university professor in enhancing the moderation from the point of view of Umm Al Qura University students? This main question includes five subsequent questions.

The study was conducted using the descriptive method by using a questionnaire that entailed three features which are (personal, social, professional).

The questionnaire was applied after confirming the validity and reliability on 732 of female students on Umm Al Qura University.

The following statistical styles were used to answer the study questions: frequencies, ratios and T test to compare the two samples.

The following results were found; the characteristics of the professor in promotion and moderation, which are the personality traits, social characteristics, professional characteristics, comparative, personal characteristics ranked first, and finally, the professional characteristics were inferior.

The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (∞= 0,05) between the opinions of the sample of the study of the characteristics of the university professor in the promotion of moderation due to the variable of the program type and the variable of the type of college.

The study recommended the following; the importance of devoting the concept of moderation through the professors' lectures, and commitment to their qualities, the need for the professor to establish activities and courses that help to promote the mediocrity of students, conducting studies interested in knowledge of the features of the teacher in the promotion of moderation at different stages.
