Abstract EN

The Current study aims identifying the motivational factors about why parents select the private schools in Riyadh.

These factors included three main elements (personal factors, environmental factors and educational factors).

The study sample contains 200 of the students` parents; the number of students in private schools is 7400 in the east of Riyadh.

The researchers used the descriptive method in the study and they depended on the questionnaire to gather information.

The researchers used the calculation of frequencies, percentages, arithmetic averages, standard deviations and salaries to answer the study questions.

To measure the study instrument stability, they used the Alpha Cronbach coefficient to make sure of the study instrument stability which amounted to 0.970.

They also checked the study objectives and analyzing the collected data using many appropriate statistical methods using statistical packages for social sciences.

The study results clarify that the general average of the personal, environmental and educational factors place in the fourth category of the five-point scale, which illustrates the degree of approval of the study instrument, where environmental factors came first and followed by educational factors.

The study declared that there are no statistically significant differences due to both the monthly income and the educational level of parents.
