Abstract EN

This research aims to identify the reasons for the low level of academic achievement in mathematics among students in second grade in high secondary school in Umbaddah locality.

Research sample consists of (128) male/female teachers of mathematics (3) teachers were randomly selected with the average of (23.4).

Statistical treatments were percentages and arithmetic averages.

The most important results of the research are there are many topics in math, the decision not to fit the article vocabulary with time and lack of variety in teaching methods, and lack of interest in the use of educational means and unavailability, frequent subjects for students, the absence of activities in mathematics teaching, lack of teacher's Guide.

Recommendations:-math teachers should be trained to use modern teaching aids in order to raise achievement in math, book content review math for second grade secondary school and providing learning resources and modern teaching aids for being the language of the age.
