Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the experience of Algerian University in the application of e-learning and distance education.

The study concluded that distance learning at the Algerian University, is a support of traditional education allowing for absorbing the increasing numbers of students, improving the quality of education and arriving to the international standards regarding, the quality assurance based on a long-term strategy that relies on the use of modern technology, that provides learners with content in the shortest time, less effort and greater benefit.

Besides, the experience of the University of Constantine 2, in this area, allowed to achieve several complementary objectives to the educational process, the most important ones are the transformation of current courses and curriculum to electronic curriculum gradually, the establishment of the principle of self-education and e-learning among university student.
