The present study aims at detecting aging problems in Adrar (algeria).
it shows the role of social support either from family or friends in the mitigating the problems and taking care of elderly people.
the current study is based on a sample of sixty (60) elderly person( males and females) from different regions in Adrar by using a variety of tools among which: aging problem scale for lahsine abdelmouati (2009) and social support scale for elkourdi (2008).
the results show that aging problems are limited in eight(08) problems with different percentages.
moreover, there is a correlation between social support and aging problems.
additionally, there are differences between male aging problems and female’s ones.
