Abstract EN

This research is concerned about the study of (Suwar al - Aqalim= the countries shapes) manuscript, which is considered unique and was been interwined with two Arab and Muslim historical geography authors.

The research explains the reasons behind the uncertainty, illusion and mixing of the book relevance.

It has also presented a briefing about the author’s approach and its importance in studying the historical geography in the Islamic culture.

In addition, the research has proved through evidence that the book’s author is Abu Zaid Al Balkhi and not al - Istakhri as it was previously believed.

The research is a ccompanioalwith an edited piece of manuscript to indicate its importance, authenticity and to be issued in aconsiderable scientific publication.
