Abstract EN
Algeria faces an unprecedented diplomatic crisis with international human rights organizations, in particular Amnesty International, over the issue of clandestine immigration to sub-Saharan Africans.
This crisis has emerged after the leading reports of this organization, which accuses Algeria of mass deportation of these migrants, without respect for human dignity, and without taking care of their political status as refugees, considering that the state of Mali is witnessing political unrest that poses a threat to their lives.
In response to the campaign targeting Algeria's international reputation, the government has decided to respond to these reports by highlighting efforts to counter crime and human trafficking networks, and to confirm that the migration of these migrants comes after the bilateral agreement with Nigeria and Mali
