Abstract EN
The results of the evaluation of the English language course program at the Arab Open University is beneficial to several parties; the students, and English language education and training centers.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the intensive English language courses from the students' point of view.
The researcher used a questionnaire consisting of (20) paragraph distributed to all members of the study society of students of the Arab Open University in Saudi Arabia enrolled in intensive English courses for the year 2016-2017.
The results of the study were based on the response of (456) students by (11) of the total study population.
The study found a number of results, the most important of which were: The evaluation of the intensive English language program was moderate, and the most important focus of the program was the strength of the student's opinion in his performance.
He ranked first, with a general average of 3.63, where it came in fourth place with an average of (2.77).
The study also found statistically significant differences between the views of the sample of the study due to sex variable for the benefit of the students, the branch for Jeddah branch and the type of school, while there were no statistically significant differences between the view of the study sample members attributed to the variable age.
The countries that obtained the high school, the year of obtaining the secondary school, and the educational program registered by the student, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations such as the development of learning methods and education in the program by specialists with sufficient knowledge of Arabic Language and difficulties of acquiring foreign languages for native speakers.
