Abstract EN

This study aimed to highlight the role of the system of priorities in the Islamic economics in realization of sustainable development.

The study depended on the descriptive and comparative methods.

The study most important result indicated that the system of priorities in the Islamic economics contributes to the realization of sustainable development; including its internal components: Faith (Deen), self (Nafs), Intellect (Aql), Posterity (Nasi), Wealth (Mai)), which were characterized by integration and covers the most important dimensions of sustainable development (economic, social, and environmental); as well as its overall components (necessities, needs, and improvements) through justice in meeting current and future human needs while preserving sustainable protection of the environment and its stock of natural resources.

The study calls for taking into consideration the system of priorities in Islamic economics when designing the development projects for Islamic countries.
