Abstract EN

The study titled: the effectiveness of radio programs in raising awareness about the Sudanese culture: applied on “Spotlight on the Sudanese Culture” program, aimed to know the effectiveness of radio programs in raising awareness about the Sudanese culture and knowing the downsides of the ignorance thereof.

The important of the study comes from the importance of radio programs and their role in raising awareness about the Sudanese culture.

The study used the descriptive survey analytic method and the tools for gathering and analyzing the information, were the observation, questionnaire and interview.

and the study community was including in “Spotlight on the Sudanese Culture” program, sample of the study came in number of program episodes present to the experts of information, history and political science, The study came to a number of conclusions, the most important of which are that the radio programs are effective in raising awareness about the Sudanese culture and pointed out that the ministry of education does not allocate enough space to enlighten the Sudanese culture.

The researcher then recommended that Sudan Radio should improve their strategic plan for raising awareness about the Sudanese culture; she also recommended that the information consulates of the Sudanese embassies abroad should be given copies of the program to clarify the image of Sudan abroad which contributes to the acceptance of the Sudanese people to the other.
