Abstract EN

This study mainly discusses the nature of existing dialogues on issues of identity and renewal in Sudanese drama.

It also deals with the concept of renewal itself as well as its traits when attempting to express the characteristic of the Sudanese identity in dramatic works.

This is in addition to claims related to the concept of renewal, its measurement, and its standard levels to emancipate from old traditions.

The study deals with necessary to introduce renewal attempting to express our identity.

The descriptive analytical approach is used here as the study’s outcomes aim at raising awareness when it comes to renewal, experimentation and its associates showing their relation with dramatic form.

This is done through showing the characteristics of the drama and its ability to express identity issues.

The study recommends, in its outcomes, raising awareness when it comes to national heritage which is part of Sudanese communities’ cultural component as well as the formal heritage of the drama in the human experience.

The study recommends paying attention to this heritage, in its two levels, to human express the characteristics of the identity as well as what is produced by the experimentation and efforts of renewal.

The study also recommends digging deep into the concept of identity so that it could be studied in accordance of moderate approach far from extremism and exclusion which is based on political, racial, regional, or tribal affiliation.
