Abstract EN

This study was conducted in the Republic of Iraq in August 2017.

The problem of the study was to identify the obstacles facing the employment of ICTs from the point of view of agricultural extension workers in Babil Governorate, Therefore, this study aimed at identifying the personal characteristics of the respondents (gender - age - qualification - type of specialization - training -experience), As well as determining the level of obstacles (administrative, technical, financial, human), which hinder the employment of informatics in the field of extension work, and study the relationship between the level of obstacles and the degree of employment in the field of extension work.

The researcher used the survey method as one method of descriptive approach in achieving the objectives of the study.

This study was conducted on a sample of 98 agricultural guides working in the extension farms (8) farms with the extension center distributed throughout the province of Babylon, The data were collected by personal interview.

By means of a questionnaire prepared specifically for this purpose.

The data were analyzed by the SPSS, The results showed that the majority of respondents agree that the obstacles (administrative, financial, human) are hindering the employment of informatics in agricultural extension.
