Abstract EN

This study is focused on the key role of the multisensory strategy for the development of some numerical skills of pupils with intellectual disabilities to master (count, categorize, and matching), through the implementation of an appropriate tutorial based on multisensory strategy and its application on student with intellectual disabilities as a one subject design.

And the introduction of a strategy based on the method of multi-senses as a method of treatment to enhance the skills of counting, and measuring the results.

The sessions were based on the design of ABA about 16 sessions divided into 5 sessions to observation the baseline before the intervention, 6 sessions of implementation the VAKT strategy on the numerical skills and 5 sessions to measure the baseline after leaving the intervention.

This study revealed that with multisensory strategy, students with ID can succeed in numerical skills (classification – count – matching) and the results show a clear improvement in the performance of the study sample when subjected to activities that measure these skills.

In addition, the student gained some language skills such as the ability to pronounce the numbers correctly.
