Abstract EN

The study aims to test the effect of Keynes multiplier on the algerian economy, The study used annual time series data for the period from 1989 to 2009, Where the Multiregression model was estimated using Autoregressive Distributed lags Approach (ARDL) given by Pesaran et al (2001), where the results confirmed the existence of a relationship between the variables of this study in the short and long run.

The Bounds test revealed that there exists a long-run relation between GDP and the independent variables Depending on the results, the study recommended the need to adopt policies aimed to reducing excessive dependence on the oil sector such as the search for alternatives to diversify income sources and work on improving the performance of other sectors to contribute in the economic recovery.
