Abstract EN

The last 2008 global financial crisis affirmed the necessity of revisiting, locally and globally, the banking regulation, Therefore, the Basel committee on banking supervision has established in December 2010 the so-called Basle J convention, by publishing new quantitative and qualitative standards.

This paper tries to evaluate the extent of the matching between, Algerian and Jordanian banking systems, and BasleJ quantitative standards at legislative and applied levels.

We have reached the following results : - There is a partial, but not a total integration of quantitative standards, which came with Basle J convention, by banking Legislation issued by Bank of Algeria ; - There is a semi-holistic integration of quantitative standards, which came with Basle} convention, by banking Legislation issued by the central bank of Jordan ; - Practically, the Algerian banking system applies some of the quantitative standards adopted by Basle3 convention, and has been integrated with banking legislation issued by bank of Algeria, except the liqiridity coverage ratio, It also applies, practically, some of quantitative standards, which came with Basle} convention, but have not been integrated with banking legislation, issued by bank of Algeria ; - The Jordanian banking system practically applies the quantitative standards adopted by BasleJ convention and, solely, have been integrated with banking legislation issued by the central bank of Jordan.
