It is also intended to investigate the effectiveness of using roleplay activities as a technique that can be employed by EFL teachers to enhance student’s mastery of idioms.

this research is based on analyzing the performance of 42students in roleplay activities in which they were asked to write a scenario for the idioms they had been instructed, participants were asked then to play roles to perform their written scenarios.

drawing on a questionnaire, the results showed that the participants recognizedseveral benefits of roleplay activities on enhancing their understanding and use of English idiomatic expressions for real-life communication.
