Etude sur l’apport des algériens au sein des instances sportives internationales : constat et perspectives

The international sport relations can be set and defined from the double participation to the international sport institutions: on the one hand through the athletes participation to the different competitions and an the other hand by the active representation of a country to the organs of these institutions, as they lie also with the many sided scope of the international cooperation.

Sport constitutes a vector of the diplomatic action, thus it’s revealed as a mean of international pressure of straggle for a knowledgement.

The sport history is closely linked to the diplomacy action.

In this context, is leading its national liberation struggle, Algeria constitutes a reference through the continents.

At that time, Algeria become aware of the sport weight as political tool in the service of its relations with the world.

Otherwise, the sport worldwide process has lead to the creation of a vast number international organization with various status (intergovernmental, nongovernmental, favoring competitions proliferation, developing some forms of cooperation, but orchestrating nevertheless a power distribution according to the influence sphere, embracing perfectly the logic of the dominating world economic order.

A non exhaustive census of some Algerian representatives within the international sport authorities shows that among the 92 concerned persons, thirty are executive organ members of the institutions.

In spite of the noticeable representation, we mustabe set in evidence the constraint.
