When social networking sites have emerged and have become widely used among the pioneers of the virtual world, many concepts have changed and have shortened distances and saved a lot of time and life has become much easier and more luxurious.

But this development has opened wide doors in front of people and made the world a single home after it became a small village.

This does not pass without leaving a negative impact on both the individual and collective levels.

The aim of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social networking sites was to facilitate the process of easy communication and make it simpler and inexpensive.

These sites are supposed to help disseminate knowledge and help users exchange ideas, opinions and even education and liaison relations, in addition to opening a window for the freedom of expression.

However, the reality that is revealed to us is that the owners of these sites have turned these channels into means to commit crimes, slander, defamation and extortion.

Other users have violated public morality by publishing photos, videos or pornographic publications, and some of these sites have come to destabilize national security by calling for demonstrations and even carrying out terrorist operations.

Therefore, it has become necessary to explore the criminal liability for the illegal use of social networking sites and to check whether responsibility falls solely on the owners of these sites or it is extended to Internet service providers?
