Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to identify the obstacles to combating cybercrime in the West Bank in relation to cybercrime itself, the victim and the criminal investigation from the point of view of the employees in the departments of cybercrimes in security services.

The study was conducted on the employees of the cybercrimes departments in security services.

The sample consisted of 125 persons who were selected from the available study society.

The researchers used the questionnaire tool to gather information.

The questionnaire consisted of 26, verified the validity and reliability of the tool and addressed the data of the study statistically.

The study found the following results: the obstacles to combating cybercrimes related to cybercrime itself were very high with a mean average of 3.51; while the obstacles to combating cybercrimes related to the victim reached a medium degree, where the mean average was 3.39.

The degree of obstacles to combating cybercrime related to criminal investigation was significant, with the mean average of 3.55.

In light of the results of the study, the researchers came up with a number of recommendations, most notably the need to train and qualify the employees of cybercrimes departments in security services, the need for coordination between security services to combat these crimes, and encouraging citizens to report this kind of crimes.
