Abstract EN

This paper addresses the issue of photographic image credibility in general and digital photojournalism in particular both universally and in Sudan.

to prove or disprove its hypothesis the paper combines historical descriptive analytical and record linkage research method in three sections explaining introduction and development of photojournalism term and concept up contemporary digital technology attracting attention not only to its both positive and negative impacts universally but also the poor photojournalism standard in Sudan as compared to the universally adopted academic and professional state of art supported by necessary examples.

besides, the paper scientifically criticizes another research paper on the same subject revealing both of the false information provided about digital manipulation of photojournalism image which contradicts the above mentioned regulations set to safeguard photojournalism credibility.

finally, this paper strongly recommends the ultimate necessity of improving photojournalism level in Sudan according to both academic and professional universal standards.
