Abstract EN

This research aims at introducing one of the most important patterns that constitutes the heritage of Libyan music in city Tripoli.

that pattern called the (Malouf) which is one of the musical styles that early came from Andalusia to the to the Arabic Maghreb region, by focusing on the rhythmic side and its contents and characteristics.

the researcher dealt with codifications and analysis of the rhythmic sounds and its basic forms, which related to the Libyan (Malouf) in comparison to other styles in the rest of the Arabic Maghreb region, the functions of rhythmic instruments and role of each of them during performance of the group are also known to highlight the general form of each of the rhythmic needs and contents of the performance details and rhythmic forms of static, individual, or collective performance variations.the researcher used models of all kinds shifts of traditional (Malouf) to analyze the rhythmic characteristics of each genre and its musical recording in its basic detailed form, by using the descriptive approach.

the researcher concluded with findings, and he reached an important results that improves uniqueness and special differences and characteristics that used in the art of (Malouf) to maintain all the rhythmic instruments used in all its elements in terms, manufacturing and numbers of instruments used in each type and methods during performance.
