Abstract EN

This study tackled the explanation of public legacy in Sudanese theatre through public parties and ritual activities which reflect Sudanese values and culture connected to society life .that fact has added to the theatre positive aspects and reflected Sudanese culture.

parties and ritual behavior, at the theatre are like bride dance, "butan" (which is a tribal tradition in which the bridegroom has to beat volunteers by a whip upon the arena among cheerful cries of women) and "ziker" (which is a religious hymns being recited by a group of people ) as a part of the wedding party .

by all of that study presented a specialized research in the field of Sudanese drama which could be considered as an added value in Sudanese social culture in both modern and ancient areas .by showing public parties upon theatre an assumption could be deduced that rereading of legacy and extraction of its beautiful constituents is quite a possible outcome .that proves drama can reflect Sudanese public rituals and society believes.
