Abstract EN

The purpose of this research is to identify the characteristics of Ibn al-Atheer’s “interpretation” by following one of the descriptive terms in his critical works, namely the term of “reverse of the apparent.” There is a set of views and innovative features that are unique to Ibn al-Atheer.

These came in the context of his dealing with the term “reverse of the apparent” – including his passion for what he called “creative meanings” or “mental meanings” – in literary works in general and poetic ones in particula.
