Abstract EN

This article aims to study the comparison between the motives of the Algerian amendments 2008 and 2016 and the Turkish amendments 2007 and 2017 and their procedures with a view to changing the political system and moving towards the presidential system.

This topic was chosen because of the synchronization of the amendments in both countries and because of the aim of those amendments in both countries.

It has been shown through the comparison that the Turkish amendments were made according to a clear vision and a specific strategy led by the party and not only the President of the Republic.

And they came for various and objective reasons.

And that it had taken sufficient time to debate among the different parties, including the opposition parties within Parliament.

It followed the legal and constitutional process with the approval of Parliament, then the people as the holder of the constituent authority.
