Abstract EN

The study deals with the economic growth according to Ibn Khaldun through its determinants and causes of deterioration.

The determinants or reasons for economic growth expressed in the building into the Prolegomena of Ibn Khaldun were represented by geographical factors, natural resources, state intervention (protection, support, spending), population, labor, capital, size of the state, justice, and on the opposite side, we find the reasons for the economic deterioration expressed into the Prolegomena of Ibn Khaldun ruins of urbanization, represented by instability, injustice and administrative corruption, tax pressure, the state intervention in economic activity, Lack of state spending, Social and moral corruption.

Before the exposure of these elements and the reasons were addressed Ibn Khaldun's approach and the terminology used in his work " Prolegomena" in particular the term urbanization.
