English Abstract

Meskigala a ruler of the city of Adab, he ruled for 78 years, the most important ruler of the city of Adab, ruled for the period (2340-2262 BC), the period from the reign of King Lugal Zagisi, during the reign of King Akkadian Sargon until the reign of his grandson Rimoush II Kings the Akkadian dynasty, recently published about 189 texts representing the archives of the governor of the city of Adab in the CUSAS collection vol.11.

The archive contents are varied of the included the purchase of flax, metals, animals, barley, bread, clothing, miscellaneous goods, lists of citizens and rations.

The cuneiform texts of the ruler Meskigala Governor of the city of Adab are cited a group of months and differs from the months that were common within the city calendar also recorded two years of his rule, namely, When Meskigala ensi of Adab returned from the cutting in the Cedar Mountain and the year when the Meskigala canal was dug.
