Abstract EN

:This article is entitled ‘’ Crises’ Management between the Divine Grace and Strategic Safeguards.’’ It aims basically at considering the Islamic heritage that, though barely mentioned amidst economic schools of thoughts, not only provides moral lessons but also introduces trade laws and moralities for all the times.

The purpose is to show that the Islamic civilization was a pioneer in dealing with economic sciences, trade and currency exchanges’ notions we ought to review for a more efficient crises’ management if any nowadays.

The paper is to shed light on the first long-term economic plan in history introduced by Prophet Yusuf PBUH, known also as Joseph in biblical texts.

Gifted, Prophet Yusuf PBUH interpreted the king’s vision of ‘’seven fat kine (cows) whom seven lean ones devour, and seven green ears of corn and others withered.’’ The narrative account appears in the holy Quran and the Bible as well as religious critical texts.

The dream itself was a revelation of a plan; none except Prophet Yusuf PBUH could understand which saved Egypt from the seven years of drought and famine after the seven ones of plenty harvest.

The crises’ management by Prophet Yusuf PBUH, who was ‘’set over the housestores of the land’’ ie: Egypt, was realized via the conservation of the agricultural production quantity and quality and the consumption and the supply rationalization.

Today, while facing up economic global crises, we may speak about similar strategies as ‘’ food security’’ and ‘’food safety’’ means the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Health Organization carry to eliminate or reduce the worldwide threats emerged in the economic globalization stream.

‘’The twin track approach’’ of the agricultural sustainable and rural development in modern times is the stockpiling system itself Prophet Yusuf PBH initiated to manage the Egyptian crisis.
