This study aimed to identify The effectiveness of using problem solving strategy and traditional methods in Development creative writing skills in course of rhetoric and expressions for high school students in Jabal Awlia in Khartoum state .The study was applied to a sample of 92 male and female students from the study society represented by Mohamed A.

Omar school for girls and Elwehda school for boys in 2017- 2018.

The study was conducted according to the experimental method .

The study showed the effectiveness of the problem solving strategy in devolving creative writing skills for high school students .

The study recommended further studies and researches on the problem solving strategy and its role in education
