Abstract EN

The current study aimed to investigate the prevalence of psychological symptoms ،stress management ،and level of resilience among the martyrs’ wives and the relationship between these three variables among them.

Descriptive analytical approach was used ،the sample consists of (107) martyrs’ wives.

Resilience was measured by resilience scale (Mokhaimer ، 2002 ) ، psychological symptoms were measured by Symptoms Checklist-90- Revised (SCL)- 90- R (Derogatis et al., 1976), and stress management was measured by stress management scale (Lazarus & Folkman, 1984).

The results showed that there is a negative significant relationship between the level of psycological symptoms and stress management among martyrs’ wives.

However ،there is a positive significant relationship between stress management and resilience.

Furthermore ،the results showed that the martyrs’ wives have a high level of stress management (69.6%) and resilience (71.7%).

In contrast ،they have low level of psychological symptoms (51.8%).
