Abstract EN

This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of training program based on cognitive training among 4th graders in improving inductive reasoning.

Suitable instruments were developed after conducting validity and reliability.

A sample consisted of (106) female students was selected purposefully and divided into (3) groups, first experimental group (n= 36) taught through the training program individually, second experimental group (n= 34) taught through the training program in small groups (3) students each, and control group(n= 36) taught (normal) teaching method.

The findings of the study revealed that student in the two experimental groups scored higher means than the control group in inductive reasoning test..

Statistically significant differences were found between the groups in favor of the experimental groups by using Scheffe analysis for Post-Hoc Analysis .

However, there were no statistically significant differences in the performance of the experimental groups on the inductive reasoning test due to the variable of academic achievement (high, and low).

It was recommended to adopt cognitive training for children in developing inductive reasoning in early aged students
