Abstract EN

This study aims to recognizing some nonlinear models (negative exponential and logistic) and their estimation methods which represent by using gauss-newton and marquardt method for estimating growth domestic product (GDP (1979-2017).

Minitab statistical package was used for analysis.

the researcher reached that prediction by using the logistic model in the two methods gives same results.

that is, there is no comparative advantage between the two methods.

concerning using the negative exponential model, Marquardt method should be used for having minimum sum of squares error (SSE) and mean squares error (MSE) and a kaik’s criterion when compared to gauss newton methods.

the researcher recommended using marquardt negative exponential model and using the logistic method in any of the two ways to predict the growth domestic product.
