Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the economic, social and political effects of money laundering crimes on Palestinian society from the perspective of the Palestinian police officers in the West Bank.

It also aims to show the impact of demographic factors (rank, qualification, training courses) for the crimes of money laundering on the Palestinian society, The researchers used the descriptive approach because it suited the study's implications and content.

To achieve the purpose a sample consisting of (153) from the Palestinian police officers were taken.

The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to test the trends of the respondents in the hypotheses adopted by the study.

The study concluded that the overall degree of social, economic and political effect of money laundering on Palestinian society from the perspective of the Palestinian police officers was huge.

Statistical significance was observed in the area of social and political effects attributed to the rank variable, and statistical significance was found in the area of political effects attributed the qualification variable, there were statistical significance in all areas, social, economic and political effects attributed to the training courses.

The researchers made recommendations that the necessity of international cooperation in the field of combating money laundering, as it is a common global problem, through joint efforts in taking procedures and legislations and concluding international agreements to combat money laundering crimes.

The researchers also recommended the need to tighten the punishment on money launderers and the need to make economic and social plans to overcome the negative effects of money laundering crimes.
