Abstract EN

This study aimed to examine the reality of nursing care for the elderly in Algeria; IT was applied to a sample of ten (10) elderly persons in Old Age Home in the state of Batna.

The study was based on the descriptive Method and the data was collected through the questionnaire.

After collecting and analyzing field data, the study reached the following main results : The age of the elderly in the nursing home is between 60 and 92 years, The proportion of females is greater than males, Most of the elderly are not married, Most of the elderly are illiterate, There is a weak social relations between the elderly and their families, Most of elderly are suffering from many diseases, including chronic, The Elderly who have income and pension are buying their supplies, and those who do not have income, the House and the charitable societies are providing the supplies for them, There is a good social relation between the elderly and employees.

The Nursing Home provides many activities for the elderly.
