Money laundering has become the hot subject on the world stage themes, which accounts now the attention of most governments, central fiscal institutions, security offices and public feeling, which was told by the media daily because of what constitutes the serious threat to planetary peace and surety.

Based on International Monetary Fund data, between (1500-500) one thousand million dollars annually washed.

In Iraq, as a outcome of the absence of surety and political stability and the spread of financial and administrative corruption, money laundering was a big chance for the corrupt to convert their money obtained illegally to the authenticity and legality of funds, Iraq lacks data on the operations of money laundering.

This paper seeks to distinguish the size of money laundering in Iraq and its reasons and effects of the negative economic and social, as well as ways to tackle the spread of money laundering operations in Iraq or mitigate them.
